The presentation will look at the What, Why, and How of existing building commissioning. The presentation will include some real world case studies identifying how operational improvements were identified and implemented.
Luka is a building energy specialist with a passion for helping people make smart energy management decisions. He combines his expertise in predictive building performance simulation, with lessons learned from retro-commissioning, energy assessments and LEED Implementation projects to reduce energy, costs and environmental impacts while improving occupant well-being. Luka is a member of ASHRAE, IBPSA Canada and is part of the committee developing ASHRAE Standard 209 for energy simulation aided design. Some of Luka's recent projects include the new Bridgepoint Hospital, the Pan American Games Athletes' Village and Aquatic Centre and the Royal Bank Plaza, where he has been managing Halsall's retro-commissioning efforts, working closely with Oxford and other stakeholders to identify and deliver over 3.5 million equivalent kWh in energy savings.
