Online ASHRAE Instructors-led Course
This session equips engineers, design professionals, contractors, facility owners, and building operators with essential knowledge for the design, control, and troubleshooting of HVAC dehumidification systems. Participants will learn how to identify designs that optimize indoor conditions, promoting comfort, productivity, regulatory compliance, and improved environmental quality in a wide range of settings from standard commercial spaces with a 55°F (12.7°C) dew-point target to specialized environments like hospital operating rooms. Attendees will gain the expertise to effectively tackle even the most complex moisture removal and environmental control challenges.
Instructor

David Schurk, CEM, Member ASHRAE, LEED® AP
David Schurk holds the positions of Director of Applied Engineering and National Sales Manager at Innovative Air Technologies in Covington, GA. Additionally, he serves as an ASHRAE Distinguished Lecturer and Instructor for the Humidity Control I & II ASHRAE Learning Institute courses. Previously, David chaired the American Society of Healthcare Engineering (ASHE) Sustainability and Decarbonization Leadership Task Force. With over 40 years of experience, David has contributed significantly to HVAC systems design and analysis across diverse sectors, specializing in healthcare and aerospace environmental control and air quality. David’s expertise is recognized through numerous ASHRAE Journal articles, frequent speaking engagements both domestic and internationally, and he is an acclaimed authority in dehumidification analysis, system design, component selection, and building integration.
Course Materials and Continuing Education Credits
This course will be presented through the GoToWebinar or Zoom platform. Course registrants will receive a confirmation e-mail with instructions on how to log in to the course and how to obtain the course materials. The course presentation will be made available prior to the course date. Attendees will receive the 2 hour online course, a copy of presentation and 30 days access to recorded version.
Electronic copies of the course evaluation form and Certificates of Attendance referencing Professional Development Hours (PDHs) will be made available to the course attendees.
