EVENT SUMMARY
This presentation explores how HVAC system design directly influences acoustics and speech privacy, with a focus on airflow noise, background sound levels, and mechanical equipment selection. Ben will walk through practical design strategies such as duct layout, terminal unit selection, and achieving appropriate levels to help mechanical teams meet acoustic criteria without compromising system performance. Attendees will leave with actionable guidance and coordination tips to integrate speech-privacy considerations early in the HVAC design process, reducing risk and improving occupant comfort.
