Distinguish Lecturer - ASHRAE
Bill Dean, P.Eng. who has retired from the National Research Council of Canada where he was the Western Regional Site Operations Manager. In that capacity he was responsible for the operations of NRC’s big science facilities in Western Canada. Bill is a past Vice President of ASHRAE, where he had three terms on the Board of Directors as DRC, DAL, and VP. He has chaired numerous standing committees, technical committees, and standards project committees.
Bill was responsible for the production of 5 ASHRAE publications covering existing Building Commissioning, Cold Climate Buildings Design and Designing for Operational Excellence, which was Daryl Boyce’s Presidential theme publication. Bill has recently spoken at the International Decarbonization Conference in Athens, Greece; The Decarbonization Fundamentals Webinar for the New York City ASHRAE Chapter and the SCANVAC – ASHRAE HVAC Cold Climate Conference in Anchorage, AK.
