Event Summary


The Well is a mixed-use redevelopment project on the west side of Toronto’s downtown featuring more than 3 million square feet of retail, office, and residential space.  Enwave partnered with the developers to design and install a novel thermal storage system below the development site, digging a 2 million gallon vertical thermally stratified storage tank below the complex.  The tour will give you an inside look on the Well Site.

James McEwen, Partner

TMP


James McEwen is a partner at TMP with a varied background in many project types including commercial office towers, residential towers, civic and public buildings, post secondary education, food and beverage, office tenant fit-out, light industrial facilities, and more.  Most recently he has been involved with large mixed-use projects combining many of his past project types into one, and mid-rise timber office tower projects.  As the main mechanical project engineer at The Well, James worked on both the Enwave district energy plant design as well as the design of commercial component of the complex, including the large below grade structure, the office tower, and all commercial podiums of the 6 other buildings on the site.



Moeen Salibe, Senior Director

Enwave

Moeen Salibe is the Senior Director, Operational Excellence at Enwave with more than 8 years of diverse experience at Enwave North America and Enwave Canada he oversees and lead Customer Service, Energy& Optimization, Sustainability, and Asset Management. Moeen leads Enwave Energy Services providing value-add services to Enwave customers to improve building performance and build decarbonization roadmap. As operations leader, Moeen oversees the Asset management group, developing and implementing the asset management strategy and the deployment of the Computerized Maintenance Management System CMMS and the continues improvement processes in the different verticals of the business and corporate reporting on the operational KPI’s, HSE, GHG, Reliability and system Availability in the different regions. 

He has more than 15 years of industry experience with Buildings, Data Centers, Utility, Hospitality, and construction among the most notable one.
